What are some nice roads to drive on in north jersey??
What are some enjoyable roads to drive on with lots of turns and some straight stretches and not way too much traffic? I live right near Belvidere NJ and it gets pretty boring to drive around here and i never go looking for any adventure or fun roads to take my 96 firebird on and just cruise throguh the gears and wind out my car a bit. I've been on jugtown mountain and that seems like it would be kinda fun, and I've heard shades of death road is good. What are some other ones?

If you feel like driving an hour or so to Port Jervis NY, theres a long stretch of road called the "Hawks Nest"... used in many commercials. Very fun ride and great for pictures...

Pretty much anywhere in Northwest NJ. google car cruises in the area, or in Northeast PA too, there are a lot of pre-made routes

The road to 611 North is nice over the free bridge in Belvidere, follow 611 then through the gap. Take 80 to the 209 Marshals Creek exit follow that to 206. Pick up Rt 94 in Newton and head back. Love that ride in the spring.

I <3 Hawks Nest, you could get lost for hours on any one of those roads & side roads. I ride up there often on the motorcycle.

Some of my family live about 1 1/2 hours northwest of Port Jervis, so to get there I usually take the right onto Rt 42 towards Monticello, which takes me to Rt 17, but 1/10 times I'll take Hawks Nest as a scenic route. I still have to take the Z there. My next trip up I plan on taking the Camaro there.
Even Rt 42 through the 20 miles of pine barrens is a really fun ride. I've gotten pulled over there once

Harmony/Brass Castle Road is a very nice ride. Lots of curves and a couple of straight sections to wind it out! From Oxford, cut over the hill, past the golf course to Brass Castle Road. Make a left and go about 4 miles and look for it on your left. There's all kind of back roads in the area that are great rides with beautiful scenery, including Merrill Creek Reservoir. I live on the corner of Brass Castle Road and Buck Horn Drive, just over the hill from Oxford.

521 from blairstown to 206 is nice on the bike. havent done it in a car. a few roads off 739 in pa are fun. just over the wooden bridge. the road from exit 1 on 80 to layton is fun also. wolfpack inn is on that road. 513 to clinton is nice, but more than likely you will get stuck behind a slow person. (under 70 mph )
