if the gasket surface wasn't cleaned right the new gasket prolly isn't seating correctly.
get yourself a new gasket for the EGR pipe and smear a little bit of copper permatex on it to ensure a proper seal.

later

any gm dealership, gmpartsdirect.com...maybe autozone or advanced auto but they are a toss up.

just get rid of the
EGR, there are plenty of 3.8ers that do it. get a block off plate and some RTV and go at it.

have a nice day im goin to work

thanks for the insight mike Â* but then he'd have to get the codes deleted for that which costs money...I think the $1 gasket would be his best bet at the current moment rather then a $5 block off plate and $200-300 in tuning.

noob or lazy? i might be able to find it doing a search but what would be the point of me looking it up? Just go to the dealer...they have a computer that would bring up a screenshot of everything egr related with their corralating part #'s...that would be the easiest way...i know gmpartsdirect has a parts directory but not sure if they would list egr gaskets.
