My LS1 build

Hey guy's this is my LS1 build so far motor is a stock bottom end H/C/I. Motor has ARP everything through out the whole motor rod bolt's cam bolt's head bolt's etc... hoping to get it in the camaro by the end of augest thanks for looking.

stock 243 heads.


243 heads with PRC 650 springs.


Comp cam kit.


stock short block.


C5R chain and Melling oil pump.



Some fresh paint.


Oil pan and timing cover back on.


243 head install.






LS6 intake and port and polished throttle body.




Motor is all done!

Can't wait till I can do a motor on a stand

What cam did you go with ? what's it going in ?

Motor is going in a 98 camaro Z28 I got a cam from roshan at RPM spec's are 235/243 .621 .624 lift 113 lsa. Yea its nice having the motor out of the car to work on deff alot easyer.

Thanks man I think the car should move pretty good also have a 230mm circle d converter 4200-4400 stall give or take

I am guessing by converter choice it is not a daily driver.

Nice work! Thats a pretty beefy cam you want with too. Paint the valve covers black to match, that would finish it out

Yea i painted the block black so i thought going with silver would stand out more. Lol no DD for the camaro but I will be driving it to atco and on the weekend's who need MPG lol.

Those cam specs are almost identical to mine, (236/244 .640/.649 113 LSA 105 ICL). I have a feeling you're going like it! Can't wait to see the car when its running!
