Thumbs up Carlisle GM Nationals

WHAT: CARLISLE GM NATIONALS
WHERE: CARLISLE, PA FAIRGROUNDS
WHEN: JUN 24-26, 2011
SPECIAL EVENTS: CLASSES FOR ALL GM VEHICLES INCLUDING CAMAROS

Continuing our storied tradition of producing great events, the GM Nationals celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2011. This event features ALL of the timeless classics produced by The General! Especially Camaros and plenty of them! With the retirement of the fine folks from the ACA, and with the experience they left behind, we developed our version of Camaro classes to cover all years and models of Camaros, including the 5th generation.

Our Judging format offers at least three awards per class plus a “Best of Award” for the various makes and models. (See our web site, CarlisleEvents.com for more info).
Judging your GM vehicle, including your Camaro is not required, but why not give it a shot?

Steve Shauger continues to lead the team involved with the Vintage Certification Program. In fact, they will be expanding to include Chevelles and Corvettes.

Don’t miss the regular features we offer like our Swap Meet, Manufacturers Midway, Car Corral, Invitational Displays, special activities & guests and giveaways. This year we are giving away a high performance LS Chevy engine AND a 1975 Cosworth Vega.

We are hosting a Regional Competition for the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow (high school kids engaged in an engine building competition), of which the finals are in Las Vegas at the SEMA show. If you have not seen these kids, you are missing the stars of tomorrow.

Special guests this year include Bryan Fuller, host of “Two Guys Garage” and owner of Fuller’s Hot Rods, builder of the SEMA award winning 61 Chevy “Impaler” which will be displayed here. Bill “Grumpy” Jenkins joins us (and maybe his famous “Grumpy’s Toy” Monza or “Old Reliable” or maybe even BOTH?) along with famed artist, Kenny Youngblood. “Blood” will be doing some very special art for the attendees. AND….

Bruce Larson with bring BOTH of his USA-1 Fuel Funny Cars, the Camaro AND the Corvette. We’ll be conducting an on-line contest where two winners each on Friday & Saturday will win the opportunity to sit in and “Warm Up” Bruce’s Fuel Funny Cars. AND…

JD Sarantakos, brother of MINDFREAK star Chris Angel will be unveiling five freshly restored cars from his private collection. You do not want to miss seeing this part of his collection.

All this AND more will continue the Carlisle Events tradition of producing family friendly events full of fun and excitement. Including the Women’s Oasis and the Kids Area. Plus, live entertainment from a very good “Car Guys” band, The Crush, featuring members of the Greater Northeast Impala SS Club.

Join us for the GM Nationals! You’ll be happy you did!

Same here... I loved this show once, went there every year. Now, Its not the same anymore for me... And Its ironic, as soon as the new Camaro comes out they decide to "kill" the once "Camaro Nat"... This would have been a huge show now with all the Camaros roll'n off the assembly line..

I would assume that the "GM NATIONALS" would also have a tiny/ small/ area for that other Fbody (Firebird?) or is it just the Camaros that get all the attention?
