June Meet - Sat 6/4 ALCC Car Show, South Dayton
3rd time is a charm?
Brian aka Blackbirdws6 is quarterbacking the June meet and the Abundant Life Christian Church (ALCC) Car Show
When: Saturday, 6/4
Time: 11:30AM to 4PM
2245 Route 130 South Dayton, New Jersey 08810
A small fee is mentioned in the description but no exact amount provided. Looks like 250+ folks signed up so could be a good showing. For those interested, the fee guarantees your spot in the car show to be judged and eligible for raffle drawings. Trophy drawing at 3PM.
Brian will be leaving from his house in Piscataway with a couple other cars, heading down 287 (from exit 7) and jumping on Rt 1 in Edison area. If there is interest, he will coordinate with folks who want to cruise together. Coming in together will help keep us grouped in the lot as well.
Who's in?

And let's try again! From the show Facebook page:
Quote:
After the success of having over 200 cars at the show last year, we will be doing another massive show in the same location. All permits are properly obtained ensuring that the event will not have any issues. The money raised from this event will be given directly to charity
Details:
When: Saturday April 9th 11:30-4 PM
Where: 2245 Route 130 South Dayton New Jersey, 08810
There will be a small entrance fee although by paying you are guaranteed a spot in the show, and entered in for judging as well all of the giveaways/raffles we have
There will be many trophies, as well as classes for judging. We also have an award for the car club that brings the most amount of members. If you have a club/group feel free to let us know and we can try to accommodate parking for all of you to be together as well enter you in contention for the award.
All cars are welcome and classes will be decided based off of how many of each type of car we get. Last year there were anything from classics to civics. All cars will be classed according to the type of car.
It is estimated that trophies/awards will be given out at 3PM so to make sure your car is judged, you must be here around 12 other wise your car may not get judged.
Please invite every person that would be interested in attending that you know and once again ALL types of cars/trucks/bikes are welcome!

Ha! I am trying to get it ready for the Camaro show in Del on sunday, so I don't want all my cleaning to get ruined by a stray shower.
Hey Ed, I met you last year in Del, you going again this year? (even though there is a good chance it will get postponed to the 12th)

So Brian, Ed and I went to the show. It was fine. Ed walked away with a door prize and a trophy, congrats! A bit hotter than we expected, but a good excuse to put the top down and get the car out.
Lots of imports, judging was just what the judges liked. I will be looking forward to the Riverfront show where the judging is up to a standard.

Was a good show, though the amount of imports was a bit of a bummer(barely any if at all last year). They kind of made a mockery of it...what business does a 95 Corolla with cut springs have doing at a real car show...but at the end of the day they paid their money for the charity.
I was hoping to talk to the guy with the LSA swapped G8 but didn't see him. Ah well.
The turnout was good, for a good cause...hope to have my car LSA swapped for the show next year.

Judging was funny. I was seating with Brian and Kevin and FOUR (judges?) walked up to my car, stood in FRONT of it (for 15 seconds) wrote something down and walked away.
More NEW Mustangs then you could shake a stick at. The 50/50 drawing would have been really nice @ $525.
Kevin's Camaro is looking very well with a LOT of detail work making it stand out (the engine bay looks brand new) and Brian's ride just stands out like a bullet with an engine bay straight out of Star Wars. Really nice shooting the breeze with a coupe of car nuts!

i came in late in the 71 with a few friends with trucks. i was one of the last few to get a spot, saw all your guys cars and talked to brian for a few. i was a little taken back by the amount of corollas.. didnt even realize people were into those.
cant comment on the judging since i personally know my car isnt worthy, honestly it felt more like a cruise in rather than a show. but ed and kevin it was my first time seeing your cars in person and both were amazing. the ute was there too attracting all the attention as usual along with everyone arguing what it actually is.
here was a pic i found of my car

The show was more of a cruise than a show as mentioned but I enjoyed getting the car out and seeing folks. There were some interesting vehicles present to say the least. The new shifter in the bird felt great and I didn't get burned too badly. I took a few terrible pictures but I'm sure others did a better job.

Yup I went over and said hi. The Ute looked great and certainly was breaking necks.
