not from the wrong side of the firewall
the guy should have tried putting it out as soon as they saw it, not "hang on, let me get this on film"

I do not really see the funny, he did pull a wayfast though. However, think if your turd gen caught on fire, i would laugh, but you probably wouldn't.

I find NO funny in that at all, maybe its because i have thousands and thousands of hours my life poured into my car, and others that i have restored just to have a constant fear of the inevitable that could happen. Yeah sure its something you dont like so seeing it burn could be funny to other people but definitely not to me. I have too much time and money wrapped up my car just like that guy probably did.

That sucks, but I think they should have been more concerned with putting out the fire than videotaping it.

It looked like their were two guys. One taking footage and the other trying to put out the fire. Looked like only one fire extinguisher too! How much could the camera guy do really?

That really sucks, but I agree with Steve and a couple others, I guess they were more interested in getting it on film than trying to put it out.

While i dont personally like that type car, i do feel for the guy, it looked like he had a lot of time invested in it.
so how many of you guys have an extinguisher in the car? and what size/type.

Not really funny, I couldn't imagine the amount of money he had invested into that car. Just like our cars we poor a lot of money into our machines and to have something like that take away our pride & joy it would be devastating.

i dont think that car was too rice. it looked tastefully done. looked like the area around the turbo overheated. anyway, the rims were nice looking and not HUGE, no spoiler, the interior wasnt all painted and lit up(except fot the fire), and the engine wasnt all showy. it looked like a nice driveable GTI.
