i had investigated a few places several months ago. basically, if it's in a tourist town like seaside or point pleasant, then they don't want to hear anything about meetings until september/october. they are too busy fleecing the bennies to even think about our paltry sums of cash.
i have prices for a certain place in philly on the water. some call it an amusement park for adults... i dunno. they tend to be fairly expensive, to the tune of like $40 per person and the bar is your own business. we wouldn't be looking at the cars too much, either. if it's an idea you want to investigate futher, i could call my contact and find out what kind of specials and/or themes they are running now, and also an updated price list (can't imagine it getting any cheaper...).

i like it.....
we could go to mercer, and go to the back lot all the way around old trenton rd past the intersection with 130.....
its a smaller but still big lot, and a picnic area without all the hubbub of multiple other people.....

Duke Island Park!!!
Just like we had a few years ago. They have grills there, you just gotta bring your own stuff, and bbq away! There was plenty of parking, and we had applied for a permit, but didnt need it.

dave and buster's isn't a realistic suggestion?
speaking of parks, that is one thing that ocean county has many. they do have byob, and they leave you alone as long as no one gets stupid.

d&b is in PA and they have policies to kick people under 21 out at a certain time. there is enough availbel in NJ for all ages to avoid that hassle.
if anyone wants to look into one of the parks in ocean county that would be cool. we are looking at teh weekend of the 23rd and 24th if possible.

How many cars do you think will show up? I can possibly talk with the owner at my place and see if he will allow a gathering here. I work for Future Classics in Lakewood. Let me know what you guys need. 8)

we usually get 25-30 people to show up. prolly jsut as many cars.
our meets tend to be more of a meet up, bs, eat, bs some more kind of thing.
so far the meets haven't turned into a full blown car show. although it does sort of look like the beginnings of one when everyone parks together.

We *could* but we really want to go somewhere else. Not that they are bad or anything, just want something different.
Does anyone have time to contact local parks about the BBQ?
