January Meet?
hey gang,
i was wondering if anyone wanted to start planning for the january meet? last time we were all the way over here on the western side of teh state, so i was thinking we should head east for the next one.
anyone got a good place in mind near the shore maybe? we need parking, food, and understanding managment
let me know your ideas here or via PM and we will get started with teh ground work.
seems like it would be best to plan for middle or end of the month, say teh second weekend at the earliest.
later

I know that Jim hasn't been feeling well lately, but has Al mentioned anything more about this meet?
I know that the two of them were working on it........

Damn....didnt know about the Fuds on 37 being shut down. Business was getting a little weak there. Sad to see it go.
I will look around here for a few places, and Jim was looking at a few places down by him.

I came up with a great place called Beacon Street Bar and Grill. Its a really good place, and they host car shows durring the summer. I will talk to the management and make sure that everything is ok if we had some 40 people come.

Its on Rt66 in Neptune. You can get to it from 18, Parkway, 33, or any other connecting roads. Very easy to get to.

Just a view from the north...
It has to be easily accessable from either the Turnpike or the Parkway. Â*Or some sort of escort, like the ewing meet.
(this time I wont break down and screw it up)

Its very easy from the parkway. Take parkway to exit 102/ Neptune. Stay to your right and head twards Asbury Park. You will be on Asbury Ave. You will come up to a CVS on your right, and a strip mall on your left, and there will be a light. Go strait through the light, and keep driving. On your right hand side, there will be a HUGE sign that says BEACON STREET BAR AND GRILL. If you miss this, you are blind. In front of the sign, there will be a driveway. Drive through and you will see it. Taddaa! Very easy...only way you can mess it up is if you are driving really fast and drive by the sign.

Okay, Jon and Joe have both seen the Edison Applebees on Rt 1 South, they agreed it would be a suitable place for us to get together, it's actually in Central NJ, it's easy to get to, the Manager there said that with 2 days notice, they could accommodate 40 people, or more, and there's plenty of parking near the restaurant. So, how about it? Applebees in Edison this time around

is that on street parking or a parking lot?
a parking lot woudl be much better since we could all be together, depending on traffic or whatever that is not likely on the street.

i dont think we like the fuddruckers better it just seems that in the two meets that ive participate at any applebees the mngt hasnt been very understanding or helpful in trying to set aside any space for us.
