What shot down to '1'? Gear or no RPM?

Stallion, very very soon matter of fact in about 5 weeks im pulling my lt1 out of my 97 Z and possibly putting it up for sale (thats a big possibly...i'm really leaning on doing 383 kit to it, with some afr heads and lt4 hot cam) but if you are thinking of going to a v8 keep me in mind and i'll let you know what i'm doing with it.

Stallion, I will definitely keep you posted....between this new motor going in the car, the 12 bolt rear that still needs to be purchased, repainting the entire car, and a Z06 big brake kit.... my 20K budget is depleting quickly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So selling that motor may be the Vortec supercharger that is out of my budget for now.

keep saving your money so you can at least buy an LS1 car. they are getting cheaper by the day. until then enjoy the one you have.

i agree with bonzo on this one. just give it time and save your money and buy a nice ls1. even a basic ls1 trans am would do the job. trust me. you'll find one. lol

Whats your price range? now a.days ls1 cars are becoming very affordable. I picked a beautiful 98 z28 up with 120k leather interior exhaust and.all for 1800. i recently sold a 99 red ws6 for 4500. is your budget like 2000? if not there are ls1 cars all over in the 4000 range. As stated above my brother has a 97 6 speed lt1 has entire new drive train but needs opti spark, 3000 takes it.

Craiglist... I just did a quick search and there's a 99 TA in south jersey for 5500 obo with headers, exhaust, intake, etc.
Just gotta keep a look out and something will come along.
