What do you think stock hard tops have?
take off the head liner and look, there is a sheet of metal that covers it.

the tops are removed along with all the hardware. The top is going to be attached with stainless fasteners. The roof is really a race only item. If you wanted you could epoxy the original t-top hardware to it and make it weather tight, but then you would lose a lot of the weight savings.

Should've raced with the t-tops off!
Looks good, can't say I've seen anything like that before. You like 16s better than 17s for autox?

I hate the way it looks with them out. For the cp class I race you can get larger sizes in a real slick cheaper than a 345x18 a6 or 335x17a6. I can save 300 per set going to a 16x25x13 bias ply hoosier and they are faster. The hard part is finding a affordable 16x12 rim. most 16x12 rims start at 400 a piece and go up from there, ccw's are 2400 for a set The other reason is in cp rims larger than 16 dia get a 100lbs penalty.

Looks awesome. Have you thought about running lexan windows in the front/back to shave a little weight off? Also like the transmission tunnel, floor, firewall, or other bracing could be made out of T6061 aluminum to lighten up the car a little.

rear window is lexan, could do front but i still drive it on the street not dot legal. There is weight to be removed but it costs money and I already have to add lead to make the min weight of 3050

Its looks great. Does it have a clear coat finish on it? Just wondering what the delivered finish is, I cant tell if its unfinished or just the camera flash making it appear that way.
Nice ride!

its made with a uv resistant resin,so it does not need paint, but it might get painted in the future. the pic was fresh out of the box so its a little duller than it is now, and the flash was over exposed. thanks for the compliment

That roof is amazing! Love the car. What wheels were on it before? That COTM picture is insane. Those big wheels make the car look awesome.
