safety inspection

What does the NHRA safety inspection consist of? I dont think i have anything to worry about but i just wanted to make sure. Thanks in advance for your response.

it is a basic check to see if teh car is safe really.
they look to see if your battery is held down properly, if your helmet is up to date, if all your lug nuts are on, make sure there are no loose items to can fly around the car. basic stuff.
if you are on slicks you are supposed to have a driveshaft safety loop. they also check to see if you have the required safety equipment if you are in a faster car.

what about nitrous tanks? i know NJ has that stupid nitrous carrying permit thing. will i be held up at the track because of that??

The track shouldn't require that permit.

state inspection does not have anything to do with a track safety check.
