thinking about shaving off antenna on both cars

Anyone shave off their antenna on their camaro? I've thought about it and i think it would even / clean up the cars.

You still have the stock antenna on it? They look better with a stubby one

Right now they have this short 6" antenna. I should have had the body shop shave it off when the Z was getting overhauled...would have made sense to do it then. Thanks guys for the input. I think I'll shave it off on the Z this fall or next spring depending on cost. Right now its all about the SS.

I cut mine down about 6" ~ 8" so it only as high as the roof line. looks cleaner, still works fine. I pulled the rod out of the mount, cut it then tack welded.

V, I never considered one. To be honest i didnt know trans-ams had power ones. I kinda like the little shark fin my malibu has right in the back center of the roof, but the f-bodys it has to go. I think I'll run the electronic strip that you can place in the upper portion of the windshield.

If i remember reading correctly even cars without the power antena already have the wires run, so you can just put the power antenna in and your good

I went with the modded BitViper shorty antenna years back, I believe it came from a Honda. LS1Tech should reveal the answer!

I have a bit viper but apparently the previous owner replaced my antenna so it didn't fit. I hack sawed mine, and hoping to fill it. It's easy apparently
