COTM: January 2017 Submission Thread
Happy New Year, guys!! First COTM of 2017 is here!
Recapping December
Big congrats to the Barneymobile & it's owner, Keith aka The Bishop for winning the December 2016 vote. His Bright Purple Metallic '98 Z/28 is not only super rare, but also extremely well-kept. I put this car up on the club's Instagram page & it even had Mustang guys drooling! Here's the pic that won it last month:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This Month
Now let's move on to the January COTM & kick off 2017 with a bang! Toss up a picture of your F-Body for us! We'll vote for our favorite at the end of the month.
We'll take submissions until January 30th & open the polls thereafter
Let's see those FBodies!
1995 Chevrolet Z28 Convertible
Car was purchased in 2001 off of a used car lot while on vacation. Within the first month it got the stripes, chrome 16" Trans Am wheels, a high flow cat/catback, CAI, and a Hypertech programmer. Since then, the only addition has been three-point subframe connectors.
In the meantime, it's been a lovely cruiser, roaming the curvy roads of Northwest NJ and the shoreline.
I have owned the car for almost 18 years now as the second owner. It has a 350 crate motor with a 150 wet shot of nitrous on the TPI. Pro Built 700R4 trans recently installed September 2016 rated for 675 hp/700tq, 3.73 gears. custom 1 off built Boze forged wheels with nitto 555 tires, almost fully finished with the full UMI suspension (adjustable), 2" lowering spindles up front, adjustable shocks and struts, S&W racecars chassis subframe setup, big C4-HD 13" brakes up front and a drum-to-disc conversion using a C4-HD 12" disc setup in the rear. Dyno Don's coated headers and Hooker cat-back. MSD digital 6 ignition control box and MSD ignition components. Flame red paint, custom stripes. black interior, sport seats, big sound system, the list goes on and on and on.
Here is a photo of it during the 10 car invitation only showpiece display for the "30th anniversarry of the IROC-Z" feature during the 2015 GM nationals; summer 2015 in Carlisle, PA
FYI, sometimes your picture shows up for me, sometimes it doesn't. I saw it earlier on my work computer, however now it's no longer showing up--Granted, I am using Incognito Mode to browse, so that may be the issue. But on mobile, it shows up just fine. I'm not having this issue with anyone else's pictures though.
Some well cared for cars in this one! And not a single LS!
Everyone else: tomorrow is the last day to submit a picture.
