computer help
avg tells me I have trojan horse vundo, then I went to get rid of the files and all but 1 said they didn't exist. I started running a system scan, then i got BSOD'd, and upon restart it caught another vundo file. how the eff do I get rid of this?

Restart and boot into safe mode (usually by pressing F8 during the windows screen). Then run the virus scans/system scan, as well as spyware scan.

yea the problem is its in the registry [ open RUN and type REGEDIT ] wiki tells you where to look in the registry. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vundo just DONT touch anything your not sure of or else you could destroy the computer forever.
or else i found this from symantec

they have a downloadable fixer tool and they are usually pretty good about getting rid of the infection

unplug the internet cable before doing any clean up otherwise they will just automatically redownload and reinstall as you delete them

No....worst case scenario there is you would have to reinstall Windows. Won't physically harm the computer at all.

reformat simple easy and solves every kind of software problem you could ever have(that is unless you have vista cause that would be your problem right there)

You don't even have to go that far. You can just reinstall windows over the existing version.
