I'm right next to you in Oakland. Having TTP here was quite convenient. I'm not sure where SSP is, and I wouldn't hesitate to give them a try if the distance isn't too bad. But, Cartek is 45 minutes south of here, and I'll be handing my car over to them for future tuning & such if I don't find someone I like closer to us.

Please do not take this as sponsor whoring but I have heard some bad stuff come out of Cartek- and yes, that happens everywhere but it was disproportionate.

I'm right in Franklin Lakes, I could help you throw in that 9" if that's something you'd like to tackle yourself. I have the 10 bolt swap down to under 3 hours now with a second set of hands.
I know some people are more comfortable just having a shop do everything but I had an alignment shop scratch my bumper and since then have done everything on my own. I just hear too many negative reviews to hand over my keys to anyone anymore. If I screw something up at least I walk away knowing I didn't pay $70 an hour to have someone else mess it up hahah.

We know you havent been to a shop in a long time with 70$ as your labor rate 8]
Lowest i have seen is 90$ and my shop is at 145$
I would imagine that oil pan gasket is something you dont want to do on the ground.

+1 for Josh @ JS Performance. He's 80+ miles from me, and its worth the ride. In fact, the Iroc is there as we speak getting some work...his work is top notch.
I have a local shop I go to for basic repairs in Wallington NJ, if you would like more info, PM me.
Whoever has 100+ per hour rates must be insane, I'd be out the door with rates like that.. no offense, just too rich for my wallet.

My fathers been a Cartek customer since 2005 with his GTO, never had an issue with them. With there H/c job he's the fastest in the country for N/a GTO's. Lots of fast vettes ive seen come from there. Defianetly have to vouch for Julio he knows what he is doing with the tuning. I have seen them do anything from a bone stock car to an all out drag car.
