This coming Thursday, February 12th, we will be doing some work to the website again. As many of you have noted and helped to point out, the last forum software update had a few bugs. There is a patch out for the software to correct the issues and we are going to get it taken care of ASAP. The site will be taken down starting around 8:00pm and will be down for 2 - 3 hours. Thank you for your patience while we improve the features and security of the club web site. Information will also be posted in the forums.

Some of the members of the NJFBOA have decided to work together to help a great cause. Several members are going to participate in the Komen Race for the Cure 5k being held in Newark in April. Please take a moment to look at their team page and donate if you can.

***CLUB MEETS AND SPECIAL EVENTS***
Details for the NJFBOA February Monthly Meet are posted up in the NJFBOA Events forum. We are getting a lot of interest in our planned visit to the Whiskey Cafe in Lyndhurst. We do have some bad news in our event planning to announce. Our attempt to put together the NJFBOA @ NJMP track day seems to have come to an end for 2009. The struggles of the economy have struck the company that we were working with to put the track day together and we are being forced to back away from the idea for this year.
We would like to apologize to everyone that was looking forward to the track day. We are going to take everything we learned from this experience and get an early jump on putting forth a successful effort in 2010.
We would like to announce another event that we are adding to the NJFBOA events calendar. On Sunday, September 20th, the NJFBOA will be hosting a very special shoot out at Island Dragway. We will be taking on the Corvette crowd in the first ever F-body vs Y-body "Sibling Rivalry" race and car show. We will be posting up some of the basic information about classes this coming week.

We have recently had a lot of inquiries about the Power Member Program. Access to the Basement Forum is just one of the privileges that we have for our supporting members. Power Members also receive discounts on most club merchandise and some events. They also select the feature vehicles for the annual NJFBOA Member Wall Calendar. To become a Power Member you must be 18 years of age at the time you sign up. If you are interested go into your User CP and select "Paid Subscriptions".
