Rear End Break In
So, how does one break in a rear end when the motor needs to be dyno tuned before the car can drive...?
*Insert philosoraptor meme*
Do I just say F it and have em do dyno pulls on a new rear? The health of the motor and turbo are significantly more important than the rear, so driving on a mail order tune is not an option.
Riddle me this.

I'm assuming you can't temporarily run your 10-bolt & driveshaft and swap to the upgraded rear after motor break-in?

I was in the same perdiciment as you last year when i full rebuilt my 10 bolt. I said **** it and let them beat the piss outta it on the dyno.

Just buy that quick performance 9 inch for 2grand. Ur gonna need it once u launch hard a few times

I think it'll be a non-issue.The drivetrain load on a dyno is going to vastly lower than the drivetrain load when the car is being driven. If you're very worried about it, change out the fluid after the dyno tune.

Why not ask the guys at rpm to get it to idle and such right then break it in on the dyno without beating on it?

Trans is ready to go, Jake's runs them on dyno before shipping.
Engine will be broken in same way BLS did his.

You know, I was thinking about saying that, but I don't know about the amount of heat his dyno pulls will generate. It's not load as it's work hardening that's the issue.

I'm sure the tuner has dealt with this with brand new builds. I would consider asking them and see what they say. I'm sure they won't take any liability but it's in their best interest to give you guidance if you ask.
