3rd gen Firebird hoods
I'm leaning towards a 3rd gen Firebird for my next car, and I'd like to get some sort of ram-air hood for it. which one do you guys like?
American Sports Car Design (ASCD)
93-97 T/A-type hood
98-02 WS6-type hood
RamAirHood.com
98-02 WS6-style
Same hood

ram air 1 or 2 hoods definately look cool on the 91 and 92 birds. can't say i care much for them on the 90 and earlier car though.
it jsut seems like the more squared off ground effects don't lens themselves as freely to teh ram air style hoods.
if you really wanna show off the 4th gen ram air style hood a 4th gen style TA spoiler is a nice way to go.
later

that looks pretty good, IMO. maybe it's just the angle of each pic.

Its called the Daytona. The Iroc hood is the same hood, but for a Camaro (has the louvers on it) I found one site with it, but they wont write me back when i ask about it.

Just because you said that... here's a pic of your car with one on.
And here are two pics that help show the comparison of the two hoods. This is where you should be able to decide which hood you like better on the earlier 80s style Trans Ams. I've been looking into getting one myself for some time now. (Reminder: The Ram Air II "nostril style" hood is functional)
And here's another pic to show that 3rd Gens can look good with a 4th gen hood.

Since we're all talking about firebird hoods, does anyone want one? its free. needs a little sanding, but its in pretty good condition. And, like I said, its FREE! it needs to go. I was gonna put it on my old firebird, but i bought a trans am, and there was no need. PM me or email me!

here one for ya. anyone remember the good ol pro am trans am in 88 89 which had the cragar pro tech wheels. they had a cowl induction style hood that looked pretty nice. hard to find anymore. anyway i have to agree with speeder the ram air hoods look good on the 90's on up.
