Antifreeze leaking into oil
I own a 2002 Camaro SS just top 60k miles.
(I know nothing of how to fix/tinker with a car) sorry.
My mechanic showed the results after an oil change look liquid chocolate (light tan) stated the antifreeze is leaking into the oil.
Gave me options neither good or cheap...
I seeking to return to the car to great weekend ride. Please advise. Solutions or do I get ready to purchase engine - currently LS1 315hp (I think) some suggest upgrade to a 425hp.

How often is this car ran in the winter?
If you only start it for a few minutes or it goes from a hot garage to cold outside back to hot garage, it can be condensation in the oil.
I've had a 5.3 Tahoe that had super milky oil and it was just from condensation (other causes are cracked motor parts/gaskets.

What exactly did he show you? Bottom of the oil cap or the oil coming out? Where in NJ are you?

Rarely driven in winter, about 6 miles a week. The mechanic believes two crack parts the jobs total $6000, In addition to needing new controlling arms which are available from Summit Racing $1300. I know it is expensive, but I love the car.
Wondering if instead of fixing the parts of the LS1 engine 315hp should be a new engine? and increase the necessary hp/ parts.

They show the oil that came out. I been going to these guys years, so the trust factor is there, but I feel that they are more of the working man garage rather than understanding I seek to make more pleasure driving car. I live in the Haddonfield area.
No overheating, no odd sounds, nothing on the dash lighting up as for a warning, the driving handling is bad, can't go over 40 the steering (which I have and like is loosey goosey) is incredibly shaking at speeds of 60.

Run. Don't walk.
You need a second opinion, and you need it immediately, before you get taken for 8-grand.

the shaking may be the tires having a flat spot since the car sits for so long. Mike is right you need a 2nd opinion

For 8 grand you can buy a replacement car.
That's not a high price, it's attempted robbery. Run away.
