Depending on which 6 speed your car came with determined what gears it came with. They're either 2.73 that came with the m28 transmission or 3.23 that came with the m29 transmission.
One of the best sources for our cars sadly has gone away! There used to be a site called speeddensity.com but it has been shut down.

Best bet would be to learn how to decode your RPO numbers, that will at least tell you what the car should have from GM.

Your rear gears will be designated by the RPO code beginning with "GU".

GU2 Axle, Rear 2.73 Ratio
GU4 Axle, Rear 3.08 Ratio
GU5 Axle, Rear 3.23 Ratio
GU6 Axle, Rear 3.42 Ratio

http://www.fbodymotorsports.com/93_02_rpo_codes
If you make a copy of your RPO codes for reference you can match them to the ones found here and then you can see everything your car should have from the factory.

93 Z28 6-speed came as two options:

PEG1 - 120 MPH speed-0, 235 H rated tires, M28 trans - 2:73 rears

PEG2 - 150 MPH speed-O, 245Z rated tires, M29 trans - 3:23 gears
