V6 long tubes rev A by PPP
Well here it is. My first render of long tubes for little G's car. The dimensions aren't finalized and they aren't equal length YET but all in all they should be the ultimate header for serious power v6's. These headers will be wanting a larger cam and ported heads/intake but they should still work great on a stock v6 with tuning.
specs;
1 3/4" primaries
24"-18" primary length
2.5" velocity collector

Craig, can you get me a lot of pictures of the engine bay and stock exhaust? Dimensions would help, this way I can get an idea of much room I have to make them equal length.
One thing that I'm hoping doesn't happen is running into ground clearance issues. Using a special flange will help but from the looks of the clear image headers there isn't much room to work with before having to cross-over. That's my main concern... so get lots of pictures.

The K-member/A-arms are going in week after next, so I'll get some pics then. I'm sure this will give you plenty of room with which to work.

I don't necessarily have to have the collectors aimed straight back. I could bend the primaries over towards the center of the car to get equal length tubes that fit in the stock location.... I just need lots of pictures . Should be interesting and Craig, if we go about making these I expect you do break the record and not stop there. I want to get a custom ground cam (not hard, I have a guy that'll do it for cheap), and port the heads ourself. Imagine a v6 camaro in dipping into the 12's, I wonder which magazine you'd want to be in.. probably hot rod or GM high tech, lol... I know I know, one step at a time. 13's first, then we'll see how deep it can go with the headers and more tuning. The key is weight reduction on everything. Not knowing what you've done for suspension you might look at the aluminum LCA and panhard rod selling on ebay. The only downside to the aluminum panhard is it's thread strength so you couldn't get away with slamming into a curb . But things like that do add up.
I don't have time to do the passenger side, I have my own car and somebody elses to worry about right now . But later this week I might through up a full system render.

go to the advanced section on CZ28.com and look for the thread titled "The Myth: Resonance Tuning vs. BackPressure"

Eric, those guys breath a lot of truth but they are confused about a few things. They really need a physics or engineer to explain fluid dynamics.
