It will be my first time out for the 2010 season and I like to get some seat time before I go to an elimination event. I was thinking of going to Cecil for a T&T that day. I might recondsider and make the trek to Raceway anyway.

My reason for going to a T&T is to set the car up to the tree. I need a .500 pro tree to do this. I'm running points at Cecil this season and need to get the rollout dialed in there since this will be the first time for me running points at that track. Unless things changed for 2010 I already know the rollout at Raceway. Other side of the coin is that there isn't a payout for T&T. I do have 4 more dates to do the Cecil testing before points start there.

Can't find it online, but it was like 15 to spectate last time and 35-50 to race but you get stuff back for the rounds that you last

I'm putting this on my schedule. 2010 season opener with the Mustang. Payouts usually start out in the semi finals (4 cars left). I might be able to get the the $$$$ if I can keep away from the dreaded domestic pickup truck.

$30 to race, $15 to watch.
I might be out for this one after all. My driving foot is on IR for the next 6-8 weeks.

Good luck with your foot. I had foot surgery last August. Pins were in for 6 weeks and had to wait until they were removed to race. I couldn't pass tech with the open toe sandle even when it was wrapped with bandages and duck tape. I was amazed how much you actually use your toes, ankle, and knee on the gas pedel.
I may miss this one too. Mustang may be sold before the race date.

Ugh - import days are a nightmare - not going due to stupid ricer kids racing through the parking lot, higher than average break downs, and damn newbs

James, the import races aren't as bad as they use to be. Non-racers are forced to parked outside the pit area. Car counts are down and you no longer see 450 imports and 50 domestic for the event. Security has improved to enforce the pit speed limit. Still you see some crazy stuff lol. It's still a nice payout for a win.
HW72, welcome to bracket racing . This event is a great place to start. I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. I know it may be your first time with a camaro but not your first race. I usually pit near near the building at the finish line. I will either have a charcoal gray '07 Mustang or a '95 teal Formula.

Bird needs a little work to be ready to race. I made close to 400 passes in the '07 season and haven't gone over the car yet. I may have the mustang sold before March. I'm old and really don't want to be turning wrenches outside in the cold. It's just as much fun slowing the mustang to run 14.0's at 100mph or slowing the firebird to 12.0 at 118mph. Either car's win light bring the same smiles. At this point is't easier to just drive down in the stang.

I appreciate that. I'm normally by the top end building as well. By any chance is your name Dennis? It's very likely that you'd recognize me from the track. You're correct in thinking it might not be my first race, most of my experience has come in a white 2001 Malibu which had gone 15.6 in optimal conditions but mostly runs 16.1-2. I'm Harry7239 on the CorvetteForum.. have done 3 seasons in Real Street on Saturdays.

the ricer/muscle ratio is normally pretty even, except the faster classes tend to have more domestic cars. they stagger the racing where it's always an import vs a domestic until they run out of one or the other. for what it's worth, each round of eliminations will result in the import:domestic ratio being more in the domestics' favor.
i don't think there's any swap meet type of stuff, but occasionally there's a few vendors. most of the vendors come out of the woodwork for the import only/sport compact events though.
