Por15/Rust Bullet
I'm looking to do some major rust repair and sealing on my floor pan and am looking to seal it with one of these two coat type products. I have the typical rust pools behind the drivers side seat from an unknown leak and light surface rust just about everywhere else under the carpet.
I've already started to remove all the carpet, and hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday I'll let the interior air dry before I take a wheel and wire brush to everything to prep for some patching over the rear fenders, but how much POR15 will I need to coat the full interior all the way to the trunk? Any pointers?
I also would like to paint the inside of the rear wheel well once I get the patches done.

I would buy two quarts and see how far that goes.
As far as prep, IMO a wire wheel leaves too smooth a surface. You can use it but I'd scuff the metal up to give it some tooth first. Metal-Ready might work too.

Bill do you think just a hand held wire brush will do?
I'm planning on chopping off the tabs for the back seats as well so thats why I figured I could do double work with a wheel/brush.

Jeep guys love both of those products. I bought the whole por15 kit and did up to my back seat area. It held up great, I never even put carpet in. I think I only bought a quart and was able to do a solid pass throughout.

It will clean the surface a bit but probably won't leave it rough enough.
I'd go for a wire wheel in an angle grinder to clean and then something like metal ready to etch. The surface can't be too smooth.

I used this on my car trailer top and bottom and it's a little cheaper than POR15 and works as well if not better than POR15. Highly recommended!

do you have a cordless or even corded drill? just stop at HF and get the wire brush drill attachments

Did my floor and trunck of my Z/28 about 10 years ago with por15,still perfect.
I used a hand held sand blaster & rolec discs.used like 2 qts.
