Making power window door panels to manual

I'm not asking about to conversion but simply can I make the power window style panels into manual without damaging them? I can get perfect condition door panels power style. I want to make sure simply cutting a very small hole in the back and through the panel for the crank to connect can be done without damage. Suggestions on how to cut?
Thanks

The cleanest way to make the hole would be by using a gasket punch . They come in different sizes , and I believe Harbor Freight sells them

use a manual panel to make a template, and cut the 1/2" hole(or close). The base of the acutal crank handle is larger at about 1 1/4" so it will hide the cut edges.

I'd suggest start with a drill bit like 3/8" the use an exacto knife to enlrage the hole until it fits the crank shaft.

If you look on the backside of any door panel, there is a small cutout where the crank portion passes through and a small channel for the washer to align with that goes between the handle and panel. You only have to take a razor and open up the fabric. I've only done it on a camaro and don't know if the monsoon system will complicate this.

Not exactly, keep an eye out in the members project section soon
How ever It looks like the monsoon system will get in the way so i'll probably be removing the plastic housing for the speaker that runs up into the handle. i believe it's only held in with tabs/clips.

Example
