wheel opinions/chop request

I'm thinking about doing c5 zo6's(non motor sport) in 18's but don't want something that everyone has  So I started thinking white formula with white spokes OR white formula with gold spokes. I found one picture of the white on white on a z06 and I like it but couldn't find a picture of the whole car. I also can't find anything in gold. Can anyone do a quick chop, any input?

Here is a picture with black wheels for visualization

Rear wheel looks like **** but you get the idea. If you have higher res source pics the skew will look nicer. If I get a chance I'll make a gold one.

i was thinkin about doing my Z06's in white on my camaro, but black also works on white cars, no gold

I think I'm gonna buy some wheels and try it out. I think gold can work if its the right gold. The gold in my head is popular on subaru wheels and runs $12 a can.http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...4/f56cc0be.jpg here is more white.

This is the gold in my head.

White would look nice but I think gold would look horrible.

edit: Maybe something more of a bronze?

Gold looks good on white cars but its more of an import/rally type car thing imo. Nothing sexier than an mkIV w/volk te-37's in gold. Biggest thing now is powdercoating though. My next car is going to be white, white staggered lips powdercoated, white calipers and black centers of the wheels...and this only works the best when its dropped.

I'm doing white calipers when i do pads/rotors. This car is a money pit..

I hope you are having somebody like Paul do an ace powdercoating job on them.

WayFast84 02-14-2012 11:09 AM

I've had nice results with duplicolor caliper paint but who knows, I'm trying not to spend money on this car except for installs/dynotune until April since I just bought a bunch of crap I probably didn't need.

You can do nice work w/caliper paint but needs the occasional touch up esp if your running thru auto car washes (no one does that here though..lol) or using a powerwasher. Powdercoat will hold its luster and is crazy durable..plus gives you a wider range of colors than over the shelf paints.

White paint may just end up being dingy grey after a short while.

I painted mine white on my 98... worse mistake ever, and I hardly drive the car...

sweetbmxrider 02-14-2012 02:29 PM

Yeah I was going to say white probably wouldn't be good if the car moves....

LTb1ow 02-14-2012 02:46 PM

I say go with the gold

WayFast84 02-14-2012 04:10 PM

Maybe ill do black with white formula decals?

LS1ow 02-14-2012 04:14 PM

Mike 02-14-2012 07:02 PM

Featherburner 02-14-2012 08:35 PM

The only thing worse than white rims are gold rims.

WayFast84 02-17-2012 03:46 PM

They are $2600 and I'm not sure what the south of the border comment meant...
