Anybuddy know a disc brake set up that will fit my stock 15 inch rims ?

1986 firebird trans am with 15 inch rims looking to put disc breaks on but everywhere i look says i need 16 n up

Was answering your question, a stock 3rd gen setup.

You just can't go with a bigger brake setup like an LS1, Baer or wilwood 12" rotor kit. That you need 16" wheels for.

I assume you are talking about rear disk brakes since all third gens came with standard disk brakes up front. Yes, if you get a disk brake rear out of any third gen, they will fit behind 15 inch wheels. Unless you go with a larger brake set up for the front like a 1LE kit, C4HD/C5, LS1, etc etc, you won't need a larger wheel.

Obviously the stock 10.5" disc setup works - even works with 14" wheels.

Baer makes a 12" kit that will clear 15" wheels no problem, it is a huge upgrade from the stock discs and calipers. Check their website out for more info.
