 Cleaning fuel tank

As some of you guys may know i picked up a used tank for my project car a few months ago. Fast forward to know and im getting ready to install. The tank i got looked like it was sitting outside without the fuel pump assembly installed for some time so i just wanted to clean the inside before going forward.
anything in specific i should use/stray away from? Also any tips on how to get the remaining cleaning liquid out of the tank ? |

Pop the bucket and all that out, put a lil fresh gas in, slosh around and drain it out best you can. I decided to live life dangerously and sucked out reminants with a shop vac with a long azz hose lol

Never tried it. Confer with an adult first but: Vinegar?

I like to use a lit match to clear out any old gas fumes

Maybe hit up a marine supply store for fuel tank cleaner. I think some marine tanks are plastic and have fuel sit a while.

Absorbant booms, or diapers might be a little easier to find. Both will soak up the liquid.

Fill with No.2 and just run a 4BT.

When I cleaned the gas/diesel mix out of my tank, I used a cheap siphon to get the majority of the fluid out, with the pump bucket removed so I could see. Then I used paper towels to wipe down the inside.
