A stock junkyard t-400 is better than a "built" 700r4...and it isn't all that much to make a 400 handle 1000+ hp......less than $2000 WITH a torque converter

There is a gasket behind the front pump. If you don't know about 700r4's ( or trannies in general, don't mess with it.) The clad seal in the front pump is easy to replace once the tranny is out.
