My Times at E-Town tonight...
First, thanks for coming out Koll..
Okay here's my 3 runs Â* :
Run#1:
R/T: Â*.706
60': 2.254
1/8: 9.128 @ 80.99 mph
1/4: 13.986 @ 102.41 mph
Run#2:
I can't find the damn slip, I think I had it in my pocket and possibly dropped it when taking out money to buy food. Â*But lets just say you're not missing anything....my worst run yet
1/4: 14.26 @ 101
Run#3 (my best run )
R/T: .543
60': 2.143
1/8: 8.883 @ 81.79 mph
1/4: 13.649 @ 103.48 mph
Not too bad for my first night out I think. Â*All I know is this is as addicting as modding the car....and its only just begun.. ..

Yeah man, I love racing. When i was out at school, I raced almost every weekend with my GTA. Those are some good times for your first time out. Some more practice and you'll be hitting low 13's no problem! 8)

Ah shiot...no way. Hey nice meeting ya...well sort of meeting ya. Thanks!
Thanks Ian. Had a blast there. I started out a bit nervous but when I did my little burnout before my first run it seemed to go away and when that first run was finished I couldn't stop smiling!!

Good times.
(And by good times I mean, like fun time there, not that your times were good or anything )

With those horsepower numbers I would think you should be hitting high 12's. So before you do any mods, practice and see how much better you get.

Â* Thanks man.
Yeah I definitely need more practice. Â*Didn't know what to expect being my first time so when I got my first time in 13's I was stoked, but a couple of people have told me the same thing, should be faster...I say it's that damn driver that's the problem..

Yeah once you get those tires turning over in the burnout box, the nervousness goes away and the fun begins. Nice times, however I think you need some sticky tires and some practice and those 13's will turn to 12's. That car still has some MPH to pick up too. Next time will be 100 times better, cause you wont be as nervous, and will have the procedure down!

I wasnt there to see him run, but I would assume hes granny shifting and probably launching very soft...i think theres probably a low 13@105-106mph as it stands with a good driver...maybe even better who knows...maybe when i finally get my hands on his car I can get it into the 12's...guess we'll find out in due time.

that is a good trap speed.
get a little more practice under yoru belt and you should have enough to clock a low 13 or high 12.

Thanks Guys!! I defiinitely won't mind some more practice. Which brings up a question. How often you guys go? How often is enough without beating the hell out of the car?

LOL, yeah I know. Guess I'm just worried about beatin the hell out of it is all, but you do make a good point. And to be honest the car did run nicer after the track then before... ...could have just seemed it, but it definitely felt better. Thanks Tim.

I dont know about trans ams, but Ferrari's and the like run like crap if you dont beat the snot out of them! Running an engine hard is the best way to clean everything out that builds up in there. Your motor propbably did run better afterward.
Like everyone else said, the more you race, the faster YOU will get. Just look at Jersey TA and Little g, they have improved VASTLY just from practicing all the time.

Your car is a M6 right? you definitly NEED a nice aftermarket shifter for that thing. I hear they're worth their weight in gold. You'll be shifting a lot faster and smoother, plus its less likely that you'll miss a gear.

The Pro 5.0 seems to be pretty popular, keep your eye out on LS1Tech.com for them.
