Seafoam
I've heard a lot of good things about it, but I want to see if anyone has heard any bad stories/negatives on it.
Also if anyone knows where I can buy a can around here??

I just bought a can of seafoam for the Lumina on Saturday. Paid $4.49 at Advance Auto Parts.
The CV6 guys swear by it, and it did work wonders on Tim's '84 Cavy, so I figure for 5 bucks it can't hurt. My dad also recommended Lucas fuel injector cleaner. Comes in a little clear bottle. I ran one bottle through on a 1/4 tank, now running another with a full tank. Idle is a bit smoother.

sea foam is great ****. pour 1/3-1/2 of the can in through the brake booster vaccum line while the engine is running and warm. shut the car off for 5 mins, start her up and let the smoke go. pour the rest in the gas tank. id avoid putting it in the oil as i have seen that on anything with diecent milage that the seals all of the sudden start leaking, iunno if its that the stuff is eating away at them or that it just cleans the crud holding them together away or that the stuff makes the seal rubber hard and it starts to leak, could be anything. but thats just my experiance

i just seafoamed my car for the first time like 2 weeks ago. i was putting it in a vacuum line when i put too much in at one time and it stalled the car and a cloud of smoke puffed right back in my eyes. that's when i just poured the rest of the can into my gas tank.

GM Top Engine cleaner is about $7 a bottle. They sell it in an aerosol can too so you can spray it in your intake and tb. Great stuff. I use it on all of my cars. We used it on a buddies '89 Camaro RS with 150K miles and it made a huge difference. If you've got a lot of miles on your car and you've never done it before, it'll make a noticeable difference. Make sure you change the oil and the plugs after using it though. More than likely when the carbon comes off, it'll get all over the plugs and make them a mess. The oil comes out black as can be too.

picked up autozone's last can today (along with oil/fitler, fuel filter, PCV valve, and a k&n recharger kit). I think I just need plugs/wires now then I will take a weekend and do this tuneup
