Chassis Dyno
hey gang,
i am working on getting a dyno to the event.
just need some feedback on what it is worth to you guys. we will likely be running this as a pre-registration thing. so i woudl need a price that you would be willing to commit to at least a month before the show.
i am thinking that $50 for 3 or 4 power pulls is fair. most dyno's have wide band available, perhaps a few more bucks to plug in the tailpipe sensor?
let me know

there was a big demand for it last year, just couldn't get it to come together.
i was thinking that since this will be open to everyone attending the event that it will be a good deal. the march meet is only for club memebrs and i doubt everyone will have their cars done in time for that.
i have started collecting info from different companies. once we know how much it is gonna cost we will be able to get a better idea of how well it will work.

Yeah thats a good price, I would say that I would be in but I doubt I'll still have my Z28 at that point. However I could always bring the Chevelle up and put it on the dyno if that was allowed...

Modern Muscle Motosports has a mobile chassis and i dunno if they do wideband 02, also they are more expensive than what you are thinking. A few "local" dyno places are 50 bucks fro 3 pulls and that is on "special days" Average i seen is $75 for 3 pulls with wideband

we won't be at the track on saturday. at this point a dyno is looking rather unlikely anyway.
they all want depositis that are more than the club can currently afford.

ins0mnia24, we are going to have activities on saturday too, jsut not at the track. they will be in teh hacketstown area, a few miles from teh track.
qwikz28, having a dyno at an event is a completely different animal. people get really serious and i have even seen a few shows that hand out prizes for the best pulls of the day.
