July Car of the Month Submissions

Anyone can post one picture of their Camaro or Firebird in this thread.

Please include your name and a short paragraph describing the mods done to the car and/or a short story about the car as well.

If this is not posted in this thread by the time voting begins, your car will not be included in the vote.

At the last week of the month we will post a poll that will last for one week (7 days) and the winner will get to spend the following month showcased on the home page of the site. Past winners will not be eligible to win again for 12 months.

All submitted pictures should be a minimum size of 640 x 480, as this is the size of the image that will be posted on the home page. If you aren't sure of the size, post it up the largest image you have (within reason).

Lets get those submissions in!

My name is Matt Westerfield. I have a 1992 Pontiac Firebird V6 auto. I recieved this car when I was 16. Was owned by a family friend then my uncle bought the car, then the car became mine when I was 16. This is been my only car. I leanred to drive on this car and even took my drivers test with this car. orginal owner had put the racing stripes on the car, then in spring 2005 the car was repainted and had new stripes put back on. Once I got the car was when the few performance mods were put on. It now has a Vibrant cold air intake, pacesetter shorty headers, high flow cat, 2 1/2" flowmaster 80 series and a 180 thermostat. The car has been to many local car shows. I have recieved one trophy for the car which was a 2nd place for best firebird. the car is in very good condition for a V6 car. Not many of these on the road that you can drive into a car show and get respect and people interested in asking questions about it.

Rich Michal
2002 trans am ws6

I bought the car December 26th 2006 as a Christmas present to myself. It was bought from a dealer in Pa who got it as a trade in from an older gentleman who had a stroke (I only found this out because the car was missing the owners manual and extra keys so I contacted him personally). Current mods include a few bolt ons such as a lid, exhaust sway bars, etc. Future mods include lowering, tint, a 3400 stall, and possibly a cam and 12 bolt for next year. This picture was taken by Alex.

My name is Austin Carey i am 17 years of age. This 1986 firebird was my first running/driveable car. Since i owned it i have saved it, alot. the console/vents, everything was painted red and kind of "ghetto". I have Put trans am taillights on it, gta wheels, grant steering wheel, slp loudmouth catback, and all new stereo system. it has an alpine headunit, one 10 inch MA audio sub, 4 rockford fosgate tweeters, and 2 6x9 roadmasters. engine, trans and rear are stock and dont have many plans for it as of now.

My name is Jason Saul. This vehicle is a 1998 Camaro Z28. I bought this car this year but don't let that mislead you. This vehicle is the result of 10 years of working and dreaming. I have sacrificed my 1986 Camaro and 1991 Rx-7 Convertible to be able to purchase one of my dream cars. The vehicle was previously modified with Spohn Rear Lower Control Arms and Borla Exhaust. This Camaro sports 17'' SS wheels with BFG G-Force KDW tires. She was sold to a GM Employee in 1998 and since then has only been driven 90,000 miles with GM service records until 70k. It's also 1 of 323 Bright Green Metallic (rpo option 31U) z28s ever. The paint color was only available in 1998. Underhood is the potent LS1/A4 combination, first year for the motor in an f-body; optioned well with Charcoal Grey Leather and full power accessories makes this one rare Z28 today. I would love to see it car of the month.

My name is Camaron Aanonsen And i have been a f-body lover ever since i went for my first ride in one. This is my recently purchased 1999 Camaro with minor appearance mods and an SLP Intake & Loudmouth Exhaust and is equipped with a Hurst Short Throw Shifter. The road to buying this car has been a long one starting with my first job back in mid 2005. The day finally came to where i was able to buy this car and it still hasn't fully hit me yet. I also just sold my 1994 Camaro and i already miss it.

My name is Marc Mancino, I'm from central jersey. This is my stripper 2001 Camaro SS, the only option on the car is a rear defogger. I drove out to Kentucky to purchase the car. It is a H/C car with all the bolt ons. Some of the mods include a custom Mufflex header back exhaust, SVO 30# injectors, Koni shocks, Hotchkis springs, Spohn solid motor mounts and UMI SFC's. The car is currently putting down 395HP/375TQ.
