I did this a little bit ago but i figure i'll share, dont mind the mess in the car had to store the rims in there for the time being
Heres a pic with the tail panel off and ready to be sanded, the green tape was for the area that i wanted to keep blue
Heres the piece pretty much sanded down, still had alittle left to do around the letters and tail light area
Here's the piece after completed sanding and wiped down with prep wipes for paint...it was still wet from the prep wipes when i took the pic...
Here it is after primer (was sanded again after primer using finer grade sandpaper), prep wiped and waiting to dry for final coat of paint
after first coat of flat black paint....doesnt look much different then the primer lol
Back on the car after a few coats. dont mind what looks to be imperfections on the tail panel, it was the sun's reflection from the bumper and hatch.
I always like the look of camaro's this way. Not bad considering it was all done with dupli-color rattle can paint and primer.
