I just have umi lcas,phb,sfcs and a torque arm. All front suspension is stock. I am pretty happy with the quality of everything, good directions and great prices.
Edit
I just ordered spohn parts for my fourth gen, I'll take pics and compare the sfc's..

I'm looking at the whole front and rear package, when they go to carlisle they usually do show specials I can get the whole front and rear setup for $1000, but I wasn't sure if anyone was pleased with it so it's good to hear you guys are pleased with the quality atleast. It's a black trans am I'm going to get all the components in red, so atleast the underbody will look good too lol.

Get the SFC's in black or it will show on a side profile. I have their K, SFC's, relo brackets and LCA's. Very happy with the fitment and construction

Am I wrong in saying that UMI pretty much stole most of their designs from Spohn?

Yes, but you might not see it if you have those lower ground effects. You can see the red on my camaro if you stand back about 20 ft.
You might be able to find some of the simple rear suspension pieces cheaper from RPM, which is a sister company to ws6store. All their pieces are very similar to UMI.

All the company's steal each other designs, but who really cares to make a case over bent and welded pipe. There are limited shapes to suspension pieces to make them fit, and they all prob source the bushings and rod ends from the same place. I have a mix of UMI, Spohn, and BMR parts and you wouldnt be able to tell the difference between them.

buy spohn, they stole all of their stuff for the most part from him, and they use cheaper steel. I know for a fact because spohn sponsors me and he and i are good friends.

The point is why not pay the guy who did the R&D rather than the guy who took someone else's product, made a jig for it, and called it their own? Sure some stuff you just can't really design differently (like LCA's) but the Spohn and UMI torque arms are pretty much identical. Oddly, the UMI one is more expensive.
They copied the design that Spohn has probably spent years developing and then have the balls to charge more for it? No thanks. UMI will never get a dollar out of me.

Got my Spohn pieces in today. I took the pictures of both the spohn parts and UMI parts I had laying around. The spohn are much nicer when it comes to welds and powder coating.
You cant see in the pictures because of my cell phone or lighting but ill try to get better shots in the daylight with my cannon..
UMI
Look at the middle on the right.
Here are the spohns
I cant even get a good picture of them because they are so nice looking..
UMI=red
SPOHN =black
both of the powder coating looks to be the same. I wouldnt hesitate to use UMI ever again, but the spohns were a better deal and after everyone saying UMI stole spohns design I wanted to see what they had to offer.
Anyone have BMR parts laying around?

What makes the spohn nicer than the umi? Looks to me like the umi utilizes both sides of the lca mount while the spohn only uses one.

For what its worth, I have Founders lca relo brackets. They are as nice, if not nicer than the umi ones I saw, and were half the price brand new...

I concur...
Also, as far as connectors go, there is only so many ways you can go from front to rear sub frame. They are all bound to look similar in some ways..
Either way you cut it everyone copies off of everyone else, then makes their own improvements and "tweaks" to the design to make it their own.. Its the American way!

Edited my post. You also make a great point. I would not hesitate to use UMI at all in my future, I haven't installed the parts from spohn yet but right now I wouldn't hesitate to use them either. It just so happened to be cheaper to go UMI, and it was recommended by Josh when I ordered the thirdgen parts. Spohn was a better deal this time around and I wanted to see what they offered.

I mean I have spohn's welded on my car but I have also seen the umi sfc's in person and there's nothing bad about them in my opinion. I agree with Josh too, only so many ways you can go from a to b.
