1984 Z28 L69 pushrod size
Hey everyone, I can't seem to find the size of these pushrods. Not sure if its 3/8 or 7/16. I just bought a cam kit and want to upgrade these and the rockers. I appreciate any info.
Thanks

Tryed doing a quick search on google and nothing. 7/16 is pretty big. Can you take one out and measure it?

I think it's neither. I think it's 5/16" from the factory.
If you are upgrading you might as well go for the 3/8". 7/16" might be unnecessarily big.

I didn't even think about a 5/16. I didn't come up with any answers from google either. I bought a descent cam so I would like something stronger then stock. I'll check some 3/8 rods.
Thanks.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm going to stick with comp cams since the cam kit i got is from comp cams.

that's what I would do, you should still measure it up though so everything is nice and tight

I can see if I have anything on the stock size. Have an 84 bird that was originally equipped with an L69 and have the factory shop manual for it But if that motor was never taken apart chances are it is original.

From what I'm told the last owner only had carb work. Everything else looks stock. That's one reason I'm going to upgrade. Thanks though, I really appreciate it.
