Cleaning fuel tank
As some of you guys may know i picked up a used tank for my project car a few months ago. Fast forward to know and im getting ready to install. The tank i got looked like it was sitting outside without the fuel pump assembly installed for some time so i just wanted to clean the inside before going forward.
anything in specific i should use/stray away from? Also any tips on how to get the remaining cleaning liquid out of the tank ?

Pop the bucket and all that out, put a lil fresh gas in, slosh around and drain it out best you can. I decided to live life dangerously and sucked out reminants with a shop vac with a long azz hose lol

Maybe hit up a marine supply store for fuel tank cleaner. I think some marine tanks are plastic and have fuel sit a while.

Absorbant booms, or diapers might be a little easier to find. Both will soak up the liquid.

Was thinking that, but we have the 3M ones at work, which I would imagine Are top of the line(just bc 3M) but they leave behind some stringy cotton stuff sometimes. Was worried it would leave that in my tank.

When I cleaned the gas/diesel mix out of my tank, I used a cheap siphon to get the majority of the fluid out, with the pump bucket removed so I could see. Then I used paper towels to wipe down the inside.
