If you were to sell your car today, what would you miss most about it?
I'm copying this thread from another forum I'm on. If you were to sell your f-body today, what would you miss most about it? Would you miss the power? The simplicity? Cheap parts?
For me, it's the nostalgia. I've had the car for nearly 14 years now and its a big part of my life. I'll also miss the general ease of repair on this thing relative to modern cars for sale today.

Maybe just the rumble and the way the entire car vibrated to the lope of the cam. Other then that If I could just get enough money to cover the motor I'd sell out tomorrow and probably not look back. This projects been stagnant for to long.

Awesome question. Easily the memories I had, but physical things would be the Carroll Shelby autograph, and the way it handled. I've come close a few times to possibly sell it, but if the wife says no to selling it, even though shes not a fan of the car, but she knows I'd be heartbroken if I did

Mainly the memories but certainly the noises and feel of the car when it was working right. My dad bought the TA new when I was 14 during his first midlife crisis. Later, I would embark on a build which allowed me to make a lot of new friends and some I would consider "family".
I love how the car sounds and raw feeling of power which is enhanced by rowing the gears. I can't see myself ever selling it.

Having something for 24 years and see how it has gone from a DD, to its growth as a showcar, from it being called a TRUD GEN and now it's a Survivor because there are so few really nice original ones left. It's nice to go for a trip and have people now give me a thumbs up or strain to take a look on the Turnpike. Plus YOU know that all the mods and time and effort that has been put into it, you hope your kids can keep it around and say "This was my DAD's baby and memories can't be replaced".

I would miss the still scary level of power it has I suppose. And hell, I would miss having something to spend all my money on.
