81 trans am resto
Hello,
My name is Steve, here's the pics and info of my 81 T/A resto.
Specs: ws4, a/c, power steering, 4 wheel power disc brake, rear defogger, deluxe cloth interior
1974 pont 350, 1969 pont 400 heads, rochester 2bbl, th-350 3-spd auto, posi-trac with 3.08 gears.
mods: rochester q-jet with tommahawk intake manifold, hurst dual gate shifter, vinyl seat upholstry, changing interior to black, shaker hood, and sub-frame connectors.
I have the body sanded and primed, just a quicky job to stop the rust. The interior stripped. New brake assemblies with all new brake lines/fittings and hoses. It's gonna get new fuel lines.

Have new quater patch panel
Have new floor pans

I'd so love to have a late turbo car.

I will get some new pics next weekend. But for now,
I just put a new starter in, installed a oil pressure and water temp sensores, new wiper motor, pull the old nasty turbo 4.9 wiring, new fuel lines and filter, new e-brake cables.
We are now working on cutting out the old floor pans and installing new front and rear pans, and wire wheeling the entire undercarrige. Once thats done we will undercoat it all.

Got abit more done. Fully under coated, new exhaust. Had to put the factory exhaust on cause Im trying to make it a daily driver, so it needs to pass emissions, so it dont sound that great. The exhaust surely turned it into a sleeper. Also recharged the a/c system. Blows cold, happily no leaks.
Not too much further to go.

I'm sorry I dont get photos anymore. But I get up early to go to the shop and always forget it. When the car comes back home, hopefully in a few more weeks, Ill have new pics of it.
