Crap! broke the rear LCA bolt, um help me out here!!
okay so i was racing tonight at the strip and my rear end in my 2002 z28 camaro started to feel like it was "loose" so i looked under it and this bolt was broke.
would this cause a rear end to feel like it was shifting?
what type of bolt do i need to buy? anyone know if i can pick this bolt up at a local hardware store??
what kind of bolt is this where it tapers? this is the bolt that broke. any help would be great i don't wanna be down and out all weekend!

It keeps your rear end centered and if the bolt broke off, it would allow the rear end to float from side to side. Do NOT drive the car without fixing this first because it could have really adverse affects on the handling. I would think NAPA parts store would have a replacement bolt or even a GM dealer.

If you're on a time crunch then just grab a tape measurer or caliper and figure out what length bolt you need. Save the broken bolt; it'll show you what diameter you need. Buy a matching nut and a couple washers. Don't worry about the taper.
