breaking in a set of new gears is very important to the longevity.

you will be surprised how hot a new gear set gets when they are

breaking in and that can alter the metal strength.

imo the best gears are the micropolished ones run on Nascar.

The work hardening process is pretty much key, and that's the step that people can F up if they don't break in gears.

I broke 4.10's in on the drive down to raceway, about 40miles, they cooled off for about 10min before my first run. Quiet ever since.
