I already decided I'm gonna clean it up tomorrow. Fortunately our house is on the sunny side of the street so maybe I'll get some help from Mother Nature. :)

Yeah, that's my biggest worry tonight is not being able to do anything. I already sent my boss an email saying don't expect to see me early if I can't get the driveway cleared out. Losing the truck at the worst time doesn't help.

Firebird92 12-26-2010 06:05 PM

WTF some jack ass in a C300 just run into my salter and broke the spreader, and bent the shaft ugh omg , up here saying here couldn't see me if you would lower the damn music and take the 22 off and get some appropriate rims and tire for the season.... ugh i have 2 light bars 6 100w search light and a **** load of flashing light for when the salter is on. now i hope i have a spare shaft.. damn first time out need to bring it right back in

Are you talking about the snow?

Firebird92 12-28-2010 12:20 AM

well today was a great money making day beside the salter being down, man ppl are so dumb i seen over 100 car just abandoned on the GSP. The street was worst if i don't understand ppl an 18 wheel get stuck in this snow ur talk 10000 pound dual axle and over 500 tp with snow chains getting stuck and you think your lower honda can make on bald tires. oo and the Audi and Subaru AWD club flying all over the place and flashing and beeping at me to go faster, but getting stuck or crashing. then you have ppl thinking just because i have a plow i need to get them out for free ? what really.

Well just needed to vent a little been up for like 36 hours now

The Norlun Trough I have never seen such a snow storm setup.

http://i.imwx.com/web/news/2011/janu...11-439x326.jpg

Air is forced to rise near this feature. Instability associated with this so-called "Norlun instability trough" (NIT, for short) can produce snowfall rates of several inches per hour in snowbands only 25-50 miles wide. The width and intensity of these NIT snowbands are similar to lake-effect snowbands.

Where these NIT snowbands persist the longest...you guessed it...the heaviest accumulations occur.

Right now, the best chance of significant snow appears to target northeast Pennsylvania, northern New Jersey, and the Catskills northward into the Mohawk Valley of New York, possibly including parts of the New York City metro area Friday into early Saturday. Again, this is mainly due to the possible appearance of NIT snowbands.

Central and south will doubtfully get much snow from a northern storm. Its the southern ones that reek havoc. I wish we would get pounded again...

Just wait until next week, Tuesday is looking like the potential for a significant coastal storm. It's too early to worry about it right now, but start paying attention by the end of the weekend.

you'll just bitch about the sahara heat

Frosty 01-07-2011 01:24 PM

Nah, I'll take the heat over the cold any day of the week. When we had that heat wave it was 115* in the shop, it sucked but it's easier to deal with that over 40* in the shop lol.

Plus I lost some weight by just standing here  Shop uniforms FTL or FTW depending on how you look at it. :D
