We're gonna get a lot because I just blew out a brake line in the Z71 this morning! It's like deja vu all over again. I blew out the brake lines in the 4Runner last December but I didn't think it would happen this quick in the Chevy. I know the brake lines rusting is an issue and mine were rusty when I got the truck last March, but I cleaned them up and painted them with POR 15. At least I lost them this morning on the way to my parents as opposed to driving in the snow on Monday. This will probably be the only snow storm we get this winter and my 4x4 will be in the garage again. I can't win.

Apparently they don't meet my standards! I guess it's a good thing I'm used to the old cars where you had to pump the brakes because I'm getting good at driving vehicles with leaking fluid. The good news is that it happened in clear conditions and not in the middle of a snow storm.

Yeah, glad you are OK Jeff! That could have ended pretty badly.

It's coming down sideways! This ought to be fun trying to clear the snow later on, even with the snowblower. There's probably a lot of kids out there happy to see snow near Christmas so they can try out their new toys!

just went and got a new battery for the olds, people seriously suck at driving. Honestly, the better a vehicle should be in the snow, the worse at snow driving the moron behind the wheel is. Aside form that it's not so bad to drive through, not yet at least

I was on 208 south and saw 4 accidents, all were 4WD trucks. All the cars seemed to stay on the road.

Stayed in. As for the rest of the family, we were prepared here. Pops got a new AWD CTS, got new tires for my sister's Lexus RX, and new tires and hooked up the plow on my quad. My dad came home raving about how impressed he was with the CTS' performance in the snow. He said it was the best in the snow he has ever driven. Haldex FTW.

Yeah most of the pics you see on the internet of wrecks are of SUVs and other 4WD vehicles. Most of the people that drive them think they're invincible, which is pretty stoopid.

I can't wait to go out tomorrow - NP231 transfer case + Firestone Destination A/Ts = FUN.

i lol'd.

I think there is a general belief that larger cars are better in snow. I think that is unfortunate and explains much of the sightings in this thread.
