Thanks! I got the GM tri-fold one (I'm sure made by someone else). Dealer offered it for cost with install so figured why not.

That's a nice cover. When I start peeing money I'm going to get one of those roll lok covers.

And the Sunday offer is on the table. Permanently.

unstable bob gable 07-28-2017 02:13 PM

Can't you go out and buy a 100 buck rusty Jimmy or something normal? :D

Great looking rig, love that scooped hood.

BonzoHansen 07-28-2017 02:16 PM

See the thing about peeing is you can't stop until you run out.... Seems to be fitting with my situation. Noted on the offer.

I wish I collected stamps and found that to be an enthralling hobby. I honestly love a good beater car. Still miss the 97 Mazda Protege I had with the primered fender that I painted to "match" along with the 13" hubcaps I installed in the pepboys parking lot. You had to make sure you hit it pretty good in 1st since if you were under the power band when going into 2nd, you might get rear ended.

I'm just never good enough for you Dad! It is 5th wheel ready but I'm not.

BonzoHansen 07-28-2017 03:28 PM

Pansy!

WildBillyT 07-28-2017 03:38 PM

Jesus. Did you bring enough torque for the rest of the class?

Congrats, Brian!

qwikz28 07-28-2017 04:23 PM

Nice truck! Congrats, looks like an awesome do-everything truck.

Haven't ridden my quad for leisure in years! It's been relegated to plowing only these days, would love to get back on it! We should assemble a group.

heavy_chevy29 07-28-2017 09:09 PM

Congrats on a bad ass truck man. I always liked the GMCs more than the chevys. My dad has a 2011 GMC Sierra 3500 that we use to tow the race car. That thing could pull a house down and you wouldn't even know it. He says the DEF fluid lasts about 4-5k miles. I think it depends on how you drive it. He buys the gallon containers so you should be fine with the over the counter DEF stuff.

With that being said, for the love of god please crank those front torsion bars up so it sits level. Or get leveling keys. I can't stand how GM sets up their ride height. That's the first thing I did when I bought my 04 2500 gasser.

Good luck with it.

Thanks guys. I hope I get to actually use some of it's capability. Seems silly just running errands with it so far.

Thanks for the info. I will keep an eye on the fluid. I'm debating the front lift. I know it would look better and that's how it would sit 95% of the time but I really don't want to see it sag with a load on the rear. It will stay as is for now as I perpetually ponder doing it.

The 2500 springs are pretty beefy, it will take a lot to make it squat.

Or a nice air bag system in the rear will help when you start to do some real work with it.

Featherburner 08-02-2017 08:11 PM

Beautiful truck! That's the truck I want other than the color and the bed size. Good luck with it, Brian!

Thanks John. I needed an easy color for once lol.

JL8Jeff 08-03-2017 10:23 AM

Thanks Jeff. You can get a 2500 reg cab but would need to get the long bed.
