excellent! I'm sure you'll have to test out how it holds up to the rigors of "stop and go" driving  !

Brought it home last night, running like a champ, no hint of anything wrong. Still have a couple bugs to work out. My EGT gauge shorts when the light is on (probably the power wire for the light is touching another wire), I need to finish painting the rollbar, put in the 5 points, the car is running a little lean on the bottom end and I need to finish adjusting the rockers and that should be it. I'm going to change the oil every 500 miles 4 times just to make sure there is no more metal in it and thenhope it holds together. Thing pulls like a monster though! The low end torque is unreal (hits 300Ft Lbs at 1900RPM and never looks back). If it all works out and doesn't blow I may race it in August for the F-body nationals.

Great! Glad to hear that things ::seem:: ok. Best of luck with the motor, keep us posted.

DFCO effects cruise & decelleration a/f...usually you'll get an uber lean spike upon decelleration. And depending on your tune and how close your trims are you might run slightly lean/rich under part throttle conditions. I for the most part wouldnt worry about it much.

I'mnot worried about it, still trying to tune it right though but that is exactly what is happening with, drives fine then once in awhile when I let it run down in gear it throws a light. EGT is good so I know it isn't running too lean.

foff667 05-04-2005 02:01 PM

once dfco kicks in you'll see a spike to over 20.0:1 on a w/b mainly because injectors are being cut to save on gas...nothing to worry about.

Slight MAP adjustment and all is well now. Thanks for the advice though.
