thinking about getting back into an f body
well if anybody has read my sig ever, you know that my maxima is gone (long story - accident, wasn't my fault). so right now i'm driving nothing, and i decided that i'll wait until close to my graduation to get another car because frankly i don't need one at school.
i was thinking about getting a new or slightly used car (accord v6 coupe or something like that) under 30 grand, but lately i've been looking at TA's on autotrader and ebay... just to keep an eye on the market. anyway, i'm thinking that if i find the perfect car at the right price i just might bite. i'd love to have another trans am with a nice firehawk hood and some sweet rims. so if you know of anybody selling an ls1 TA (sorry, no camaros), let me know because i *might* be interested. glad to hear you have regained yoru senses about the vehicles you drive :D

|
go to tri-boro pontiac on rt130. they always have a few good cars.
|
i know where thers a silver trans am ( i think) , its a 98 or up with a lip kit i can stop in and see how much if you would like...for any people around me its on the corner of bloomfield ave and pompton ave at an acura dealer in the used lot, looks real clean

my friend bob is selling his 2000 firehawk

ok i guess i might as well post some criteria if y'all are gonna be looking out for me...
MUST be a 6 speed color: prefer silver, but i'd go for black or navy blue metallic (or obviously SOM but those are hard to find) interior: doesn't really matter no formulas i'd prefer for the car to be as close to stock as possible so i can do what i want with it max price ~18 grand now i'm not saying that i'll definitely get one, i'm just thinking about it. i'll mostly end up in an AV6 coupe or a gto (maybe), but you all know i'm in love with TA's so if i happen to find one that i want i might just get it. as far as them being hard to find, there's always a few on ebay and autotrader (although the f body market on autotrader seems to be extremely inflated). |
why not just buy a 99-00 car...you can easily find a ta for 12-16 grand in those years in ammaculate shape.

edit: i'd also really prefer not to own a car older than an 01 or 02 anyway |

idunno if i'd want to buy a car RIGHT AWAY, but if it's still available in april/may i'll look into it. my only dillemma is obviously the market is in the buyer's favor right now (cold weather), and if i wait too long it will shift to a seller's market. on the other hand, i couldn't really afford anything right now because i don't have a job. if i do happen to get a job that gives me a signing bonus or something, then i'll have some cash to play around with. worst case scenario i'll just buy a car after i graduate and it'll be new. i do have about a grand in gm card points... |
