You can try re-setting the iPod by clicking the Hold on/off a few times and I *think* you have to hold the menu button for a few seconds. Go to the Ipods main site and they have a technical help section that explains it better.

tried all that...this is my 5th ipod...and they all break juast after the extended warranty.

could be the internal battery died.. you can get a kit online to replace it or you can go through apple and pay them $100 (last i heard) to do it for you

I'm on my original ipod mini....from like 3 years ago...still going.

do u leave yours in the car a lot? like heat/cold...that usually is what kills it . do u use the iPod as a chinese ninja throwing star??

Same problem w/ mine. I stoped leaving it in the car and let it sit for a few days and tryed again then it worked fine. Also download any new updates for the i-pod and i-tunes.
