ipod help...

i was listening to music and i hear a click, music stops. i go over, look at the ipod and the screen fades away, i then attempt to plug it into the wall, then comp, then mess with buttons.......NOTHING!


any ideas?

You can try re-setting the iPod by clicking the Hold on/off a few times and I *think* you have to hold the menu button for a few seconds. Go to the Ipods main site and they have a technical help section that explains it better.

tried all that...this is my 5th ipod...and they all break juast after the extended warranty.

could be the internal battery died.. you can get a kit online to replace it or you can go through apple and pay them $100 (last i heard) to do it for you

I'm on my original ipod mini....from like 3 years ago...still going.

do u leave yours in the car a lot? like heat/cold...that usually is what kills it . do u use the iPod as a chinese ninja throwing star??

Same problem w/ mine. I stoped leaving it in the car and let it sit for a few days and tryed again then it worked fine. Also download any new updates for the i-pod and i-tunes.

Most of them last for about 2 years then crap out, what an investment. $20 512mb Creative MP3 that has lasted for 5 years FTW..!

i have a zune....the left headphone dont work and its the zune not the headphones cuz i tried like 6 different headphones. the first 3 ipods i broke myself....

just the headphone jack simple fix happened to my toshiba player.. i filled my 10gb toshiba so i got a zune and i like it.. plus the 1st gen zunes were made by toshiba and my 10gb toshiba ive had for like 4 or 5 years and worked with it on had it in the cold and the heat and the thing is banged up and still going strong good player

i checked and my warranty is up. my brother just broke his screen on his ipod so my ipod will fix that and ill figure something out about a new one.
