funny part is it took him 2 mins to give me a response after he found out I had an equal car. Even if there had been some tuning done to the computer I highly doubt a 2.8L would go any faster than 140mph. I can't believe i am going to be living with this kid.

Actually Mike, from my experience with UTI...

they let just about anyone in there who claims they have an automotive interest and no criminal record.

there is much worse at the actual school.

why would that necessarily be BS?

nearly everyone on thirdgen.org pulled the bs flag on this. One guy said that he might hit 160 if the camaro was dropped out the back of an airplane, basically even if the ecu was modifed that there isnt enough power from the motor to allow it to push foward because of the aerodyamics of the camaro. The car would have to have alot mo powa to be able to allow the motor to rev higher to reach that kind of speed with the gears it has.

I think he is yankin your chain. That, or maybe he had a Canadian car, or is talking about km/h. Either way, dont worry about it.

He may not know much...but you have to live with the kid haha, so don't make him feel stupid or its going to be akward. Hopefully you get what im saying

Times a million. Don't start **** with your roommate until you are sure he is cool. If this is the first time you are talking with him you don't know him well enough to start busting his balls. He is probably trying to mess with you since you are kind of coming off as a know it all (no offense).

Yeah I was going to make the same point. Regardless of his experience and knowledge, better to simply get along with him ona social level then let attrition remove those who simply can't cut it. Or... let him learn without feeling shown up by his roomates. :-? Remember its a school - you go there to learn.
