My first Instant message with my roommate

So this is one of my two room mates I will be staying with in August. I know its kind of late but can someone point out to me that this kid is on some type of drugs? I am Speedaddict89.

SpeedAddict89 (10:52:11 PM): so what type of cars are u into?
greendays1234567 (10:52:23 PM): trucks
greendays1234567 (10:52:29 PM): chevy
SpeedAddict89 (10:52:41 PM): gas or diesel or both
greendays1234567 (10:52:48 PM): both
SpeedAddict89 (10:54:27 PM): my grandpa had a 2004 1/2 ( yes a 1/2 they came out with a newer model that year ) 2500HD duramax GMC crew cab that got stolen in canada while they were camping then he got a 2006 GMC 2500HD crew cab duramax and i loved that truck
SpeedAddict89 (10:55:38 PM): me im not as big into the trucks, im into Camaros and Firebirds ( F-bodys)
greendays1234567 (10:56:07 PM): cool i had an 87 camaro but it got totaled
SpeedAddict89 (10:56:17 PM): u totaled it?
greendays1234567 (10:56:51 PM): yeah
SpeedAddict89 (10:56:59 PM): how
SpeedAddict89 (10:57:22 PM): what motor? t-top, hardtop?
SpeedAddict89 (11:01:21 PM): ?
greendays1234567 (11:02:04 PM): hard
greendays1234567 (11:02:29 PM): and like a 3.7l
SpeedAddict89 (11:04:50 PM): Huh 3.7L? in 87 they had a 2.8L V6, 5.0L 305c.i. V8, and a 5.7L 350c.i. in the I-roc Z28's
greendays1234567 (11:05:09 PM): 2.8 then
greendays1234567 (11:05:22 PM): it was a v6
SpeedAddict89 (11:06:49 PM): what were u doing
greendays1234567 (11:07:12 PM): nm
greendays1234567 (11:07:14 PM): jc
SpeedAddict89 (11:08:50 PM): i was asking what were u doing that u totaled the camaro, were u going around a turn to fast, were u street racing, did u hit a car,
greendays1234567 (11:13:29 PM): spun it around and it hit a pole but i didnt have insurance and i just drove it home then i blow the engine up cause i hit a buck sixty
SpeedAddict89 (11:13:57 PM): u hit 160mph in a 2.8L?
greendays1234567 (11:14:03 PM): yeah
greendays1234567 (11:14:15 PM): pretty fun actually
SpeedAddict89 (11:15:19 PM): in a 2.8L? r u kidding me
greendays1234567 (11:15:31 PM): nope
greendays1234567 (11:15:40 PM): it was a beate car
greendays1234567 (11:15:48 PM): beater*
SpeedAddict89 (11:15:51 PM): bro i have a 92 firebird 3.1L and they top at 120mph
greendays1234567 (11:17:16 PM): cause you dont know how to drive it rip out the entire interior and put a milkcrte in it nd you will add a bit
greendays1234567 (11:17:29 PM): but thats only fo a beater car
greendays1234567 (11:17:31 PM): lol
SpeedAddict89 (11:18:42 PM): r u kidding me? no matter how much the car is gutted out the stock computer will only allow the car to top at 120mph

funny part is it took him 2 mins to give me a response after he found out I had an equal car. Even if there had been some tuning done to the computer I highly doubt a 2.8L would go any faster than 140mph. I can't believe i am going to be living with this kid.

Some one needs to toss this kid the B.S. flag because he would be the best one to wave it high and proud with honor.

Actually Mike, from my experience with UTI...

they let just about anyone in there who claims they have an automotive interest and no criminal record.

there is much worse at the actual school.

sounds like a fun year ahead of him, then... just don't talk about cars, and everything will be alright. at least until he starts talking about his super-model girlfriend. and his stacks o' cheddar he's hoarding. and the mercedes he's driving, but that's at home now because he's in school and doesn't need a car...

nearly everyone on thirdgen.org pulled the bs flag on this. One guy said that he might hit 160 if the camaro was dropped out the back of an airplane, basically even if the ecu was modifed that there isnt enough power from the motor to allow it to push foward because of the aerodyamics of the camaro. The car would have to have alot mo powa to be able to allow the motor to rev higher to reach that kind of speed with the gears it has.

Times a million. Don't start **** with your roommate until you are sure he is cool. If this is the first time you are talking with him you don't know him well enough to start busting his balls. He is probably trying to mess with you since you are kind of coming off as a know it all (no offense).

Yeah I was going to make the same point. Regardless of his experience and knowledge, better to simply get along with him ona social level then let attrition remove those who simply can't cut it. Or... let him learn without feeling shown up by his roomates. Remember its a school - you go there to learn.

Good luck! Bench racing is best with those who know what you're talking about.

Oh yeah my last post said nothing about the OP. He's definitely ****ing around with you dude. Probably seeing if you'd get all uptight and rattle off specs... like you did ... or if you'd joke along with it

The main line that makes me pretty sure of this is the one about stripping the interior and sitting on a milk crate , plus sayign that only works in a beater car. Probably a funny kid.
