their address starts with 0054? wtf I don't even wanna click on it.

NJSPEEDER 03-04-2009 09:43 PM

They list RockfordFosgate, call them up and see what they know about the school.

I gotta say I have trouble thinking too highly of a school on any level that doesn't even have a real website or at least one that is NameOfSchool.EDU or .COM r something.

Definitely agree with that. I think any respectable school should at least have .edu.

They don't even have a legitimate site, what did you do click a pop up add while searching Google?

Slo86Bird 03-04-2009 10:42 PM

my brother found it....i was looking at www.installerinstitute.com in florida but my mom wont pay for it then and i cant afford that ****.

Tsar 03-04-2009 10:47 PM

Here's an awesome idea, pay it on your own.

You can thank me later.

Slo86Bird 03-04-2009 10:50 PM

cant afford it. im already in debt. and she will only pay if im in driving distance which is the gayest **** i ever ****in heard but if i gotta pay im prolly not gunna go.

creeper 03-04-2009 10:53 PM

I don't know anything about that school but i typically distrust poorly designed websites. You don't wanna pay all that money(even if it's cheaper) to go there and then not be able to get a job because you're not qualified.

Mike 03-05-2009 01:06 AM

sweet. pay tuition for however many years, and be certified to work at best buy. such a smart move, i might quit my job

CHRIS67 03-05-2009 06:27 AM

So let me understand this. You pay roughly $6000 so they can teach you how to install sound systems. You'd probably learn more if you worked in a shop as a helper and got paid a few hundred a week under the table.

Save your money and open your own shop once the economy gets out of the crapper.

Slo86Bird 03-05-2009 07:55 AM

i already know how to do all the **** except fiberglass. i just wanna go to do something and to have a really exspensive paper to show i got a diploma

I have a strong feeling that paper from this place won't mean ****.

ryanfx 03-05-2009 09:44 AM

this is their portal to their actual site

http://www.mobiletechtraining.com/

I'm not sure why they have goofy hosting like that though..

Yeah, I was doing WHOIS and DNS lookups on it and it looked pretty funky.

NastyEllEssWon 03-05-2009 09:52 AM

there has been a rash of scams of schools that accept tuition for classes then either you show up to a fake address and get ripped off or find out that after you go to their school that their training or ''education'' means nothing to anyone and it was worthless.

learn on the job +1
teach yourself the fiberglass. ive fooled with it a few times. its not insanely hard. look around the net. THERE ARE TONS OF WALK THROUGHS. once you learn the basics you can figure out the rest for yourself.

LTb1ow 03-05-2009 09:54 AM

Fiberglass work is an art, and you realy need to find an old timer that will show you the tricks of the trade. Its not something that you can practice enough and voila be an awesome glasser....

thats very true. but with everything practice makes perfect. i found out im not so good at it. so i stopped playing with it

Mike 03-05-2009 10:07 AM

good at it or not.....you will learn real fast that working with fiberglass SUCKS and unless your getting paid great money, its not something you want to play with every day

The Fixer 03-05-2009 12:32 PM

Mobile Tech Training actually has been around a few years; they've come into the school where I work for a Career Fair a few times, and I even checked out their facility on Rt 46 near Teterboro Airport. Seems legit enough to me!

Get a loan, if you have a head on your shoulders you'll do good in school and then pay it back. It's not rocket science really.
